Mr. Sanders brings twenty-five years of extensive experience in legislation, appropriations, and management as related to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Drug Administration, and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Civil Works programs.

Mr. Sanders served for four years as Clerk and Staff Director and nine years on staff with the U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations Committee. He brings to the firm a history of unique knowledge and working relationships with Members of Congress, their staffs, and Executive Branch leaders. As Clerk and Staff Director of the Subcommittee for Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies, Mr. Sanders was responsible for a myriad of programs totaling over $60 billion annually, including Food Stamps, school lunch programs, rural development loans and grants, water and sewer loans and grants, electric and telephone loans and grants, land-grant university competitive and non-competitive grants, the Export Enhancement Program (EEP), Market Access Program (MAP), General Sales Manager programs (GSM), meat and poultry inspection, and pesticide residue projects.
