Mark A. Rokala
Vice President
Mr. Rokala brings over ten years of legislative, grassroots, and
political experience, including the successful development and
implementation of legislative agendas and grassroots efforts, and
expertise in the appropriations process.
Mr. Rokala worked for six years on Capitol Hill. He served as
Legislative Assistant for the current Ranking Member of the Senate
Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, and related
agencies. He managed and set priorities for the Agriculture, Energy
and Water, Interior, and VA-HUD appropriations bills. As a key staff
member, he cultivated relationships with constituents, agencies, and
the Administration in order to forward the Senator’s agriculture,
energy, environment, interior, and food and drug legislative
priorities.
Mr. Rokala began his career in Washington as Legislative Director
for a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives, who serves one of
the most rural and one of the top agricultural districts in the
country. In this capacity, he was a key player working with the
Member developing a legislative agenda for the Agriculture and
Science Committees. He developed the legislative strategy and
amendments for the 1996 Farm Bill, serving as a bridge between the
Member and the White House, all USDA agencies, and national interest
groups.
