Jodi A. Major
Ms. Major joined Cornerstone Government Affairs in June 2003 after
nearly a decade of service on Capitol Hill.
Prior to joining Cornerstone, Ms. Major spent six years working on
the staff of Congressman James T. Walsh (R-NY), chairman of the U.S.
House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on
VA, HUD and Independent Agencies. For the last three of those years,
she served as the Congressman’s Executive Assistant and Scheduler.
During this time her duties included everything from the
Congressman’s Washington, D.C., and district schedules to office
management and maintaining intern coordination. Ms Major was also
responsible for all of the Congressman’s Washington fundraising
where she interacted on a regular basis with Members of Congress and
various corporate leaders.
Prior to joining Mr. Walsh’s staff, Ms. Major spent two years as a
staff assistant to Congressman Herb Bateman (R-VA) whom she joined
after working on his 1994 Congressional campaign.
Ms. Major earned a B.S. in Political Science from Lynchburg College
in Lynchburg, Virginia.
