Washington, D.C.
(06/08/04) – Cornerstone Government Affairs announced Tuesday that Lisa Meyer has joined the firm as a Vice President. Meyer had a distinguished seven-year career as a professional staff member in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.
Her most recent experience included three years as a legislative assistant for Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) focusing on health care issues and serving as the Senator’s liaison to the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee. Prior to her time in the Senate, Ms. Meyer spent several years as an aide to Congressman Doug Bereuter (R-NE). Before moving to Washington, Meyer began her career as a constituent services representative in Congressman Jim Ryun’s (R-KS) office in Topeka, Kansas.
“We’re excited to have Lisa on board,” Cornerstone President Geoff Gonella said. “Her skill set, particularly in health care policy, will be a strong complement to our current health care client portfolio and should allow us to continue growing the practice.”
Meyer holds a B.P.A from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, and is completing her Master’s in Government at Johns Hopkins University.
